We also know that it’s very hard to come up with a new idea with a frown on your face! We value creating an enjoyable process even when working on complex issues because that is how you ultimately will get the most creativity and innovative solutions!

POSSIBILITY

We wouldn’t be doing this work if we didn’t believe that it was possible for work to not suck, and for individuals to be able to thrive. We genuinely believe that organizations and their leaders share this desire to create great workspaces. And we also believe that humans have the power and ability to create workplaces where they and their colleagues can do their best work.

We co-create solutions with our partners and clients to solve workplace challenges. To truly create a great workplace, we push the envelope and develop custom, fit-for-purpose solutions vs. implementing “best practices.”

We start with “yes.” We firmly believe there is always an innovative way to solve whatever workplace challenge we are faced with. Our can-do attitude is present in all we do. We don’t over-complicate, using our experience to drive towards simple solutions that can work in real life, with a bias towards action.

Our Team

FLYN is proud to be owned and run by women. ​Our combined knowledge that spans industry and challenges enables us to get specific with our clients and help them move beyond a vague need for change into action and impact. From events to facilitation to consulting and coaching, we are able to support our clients' efforts no matter where they may take us.

​Rebecca Friese is a “Workplace Crusader,” helping organizations transform outdated practices into market-leading cultures. She’s an experienced consultant in organizational transformation, change management and innovation. Her 20+ years of experience span large-scale, Fortune 500 multi-million dollar projects to start-up clients. She’s sat on both sides of the recruitment table, inspired executives to chart a new course, and worked tirelessly to make change stick. Now, she’s on a mission to make organizations better places to do work that matters.

​Kimberly Harris has traveled many avenues on her path to FLYN. She's worked for large and small consulting firms and has been an entrepreneur twice over. Throughout her career, a familiar theme has emerged - she likes to collaborate with and support people through change. She is a Workplace Innovation consultant and leads our coaching practice at FLYN. A certified Enneagram coach, Kimberly combines her consulting and coaching expertise to lean into the learnings and insights that this assessment offers and uses it as a jumping off point to grow self-awareness in order to reach full potential. ​

Heidi Oelman has an extensive background in project and operations management in several markets segments including advertising, tech, retail, legal services and education. She never met a spreadsheet that she didn't like. Her passion is writing and in her free time she writes blog articles, website copy, newsletters, social media content, etc. for herself and other organizations.  From task tracking, finance finesse, content creation, event management and a super power for remembering birthdays, she also tells mediocre jokes at dinner parties. Heidi enjoys keeping the team on track and the lights on.

Decio Mendes is the Co-Founder, former Managing Partner and current Advisor of FLYN. He currently serves as the Chief People Officer at Riviera Partners, a leading tech-focused recruiting services firm for companies seeking the best engineering and product management talent. Decio leads Riviera’s people and culture strategy via organizational development, talent management and training, and employee experience globally. For the past twenty-five years, Decio has worked with senior leaders and management teams across a broad range of industries to achieve breakthrough business, organization and individual performance.
